The first public beta of the local-first creator suite is now available for Linux and Windows. Review the current capabilities, download the build, and share testing feedback.

Eight local-first Python CLI utilities are available now. Each repository includes source code, documentation, and a direct ZIP download. Four additional tools are still in development.

Backup Versioning Tool

Available

Create timestamped ZIP backups, track versions, restore earlier copies, and safely delete old backups.

Batch File Renamer

Available

Rename groups of files with prefixes, suffixes, text replacement, numbering, extension changes, and preview mode.

JSON / CSV Converter Tool

Available

Convert CSV and JSON files, format JSON, remove duplicate CSV rows, and sort CSV data by column.

Asset Organizer Tool

Available

Sort project assets into folders by file type with dry-run mode and duplicate-name protection.

Security Watchdog

Available

Scan local projects for possible secrets, risky code patterns, dependencies, and locally stored vulnerability matches.

Consistency Checker Tool

Detect contradictions, duplicate IDs, broken references, missing fields, and structured-record drift.

PL Creators Suite

An offline-first desktop suite that connects creator tools into one practical local workflow. The first downloadable v1 is being built as a focused foundation, with broader integrations and expansion planned after release.

What’s being built next

Praecursor Labs is currently working on multiple connected software and Pyros projects in parallel while continuing to release practical standalone Python tools.

PL Creators Suite

An offline-first desktop application for local creator workflows, with an integrated local AI assistant planned as part of the suite.

Target: downloadable offline v1 within the next few months.

Python Tool Ecosystem

Standalone Python utilities will continue to be released alongside suite development. Some will also support local tool calls for the suite’s future local AI integration.

Pyros Webcomic

The first public chapter of the Pyros webcomic is currently in development alongside concept art and lore releases.

Target: Chapter 1 within the next couple of months.

Pyros 2D Game

A mobile and desktop 2D game set in the Pyros universe is being developed in parallel with the webcomic and creator-suite work.

Target: initial v1 by late 2026 to early 2027.
